Millennial Thing

a song about evolution of the human spirit

Climbing up the ladder of transition
with all my senses I ease into position
do what I do to create a situation
reach for the highest level elevation
Pulling all stops at the controls
Get ready to launch now it’s Go Baby Go
Climbing up I’ve made my decision
to make the most of this human condition
here I am in for the duration
there is no limit to the ultimate sensation
Pulling all stops at the controls
get ready to launch now it’s Go Baby Go
Life can be crazy and sometimes so hazy
but I can see perfectly clear
through the emotion and ego devotion
into the heart of what’s real
Count down for take-off complete exhilaration
move into warp speed, increase acceleration
tune in a channel high frequency transmission
with the intention of accomplishing this mission
Pulling all stops at the controls
get ready to launch now it’s Go Baby Go

a song of about waking up out of the industrial slave-programming and re-claiming our power

People speak about their freedom maybe it’s not true
Puppets on a ball and chain in everything we do
Measure success materially
don’t see past the bigotry
We need the Renegade Spirit to make it right
Call on the Renegade Spirit keep up the fight
Against brutality that tears apart society
Corporations’ got control in this industrial age
Greedy few make all the rules keep others in a cage
Kill us with their industry
While we sit back and watch TV
We need the Renegade Spirit to make it right
Call on the Renegade Spirit
Keep up the fight
Against the mind control
That would claim your very soul
Black man red man yellow white
We’re all fighting the same fight
We all share in the same plight
We all need to make it right
We all come from the same place
We’re all part of the human race
We all see it laid to waste
See us in each others’ face
We need to find a way to heal humanity
Starting with ourselves is where the changes need to be
See through the lies that bind you
Coz that’s where love will find you
We need the Renegade Spirit to make it right
Call on the Renegade Spirit, keep up the fight
Against brutality that tears apart society
Against the mind control that would claim your very soul
Renegade

we all know that feeling of falling in love (or is it lust?) at first sight

When you walked in the room it was a dream come true
I never laid eyes on a man like you
Stopped me dead in my tracks my heart skipped a beat
I whispered a prayer that we would meet
I see you lookin’ at me then you catch my eye
My knees turn to jelly and I’m suddenly shy
I look away now what do I do
Stand here frozen or walk over to you
I’ll give you a signal may I be so bold
My heart is pounding, my feet are cold
Wanna light up but I gotta keep as cool as I can
I’m in the mood for a sweet, a Sweet Lovin’ Man
These are the days when women chase men
With a guy like you I’m just a bird in the hand
Is it my imagination, are you looking my way
Maybe tonite is my lucky day
I’ll give you a signal may I be so bold
My heart is pounding, my feet are cold
Wanna light up but I gotta keep as cool as I can
I’m in the mood for a sweet, a Sweet Lovin’ Man
Passion is rising, I feel inspired
It’s a sweet lovin’ man who will light my fire
Are you walking toward me, am I dreaming again
You smile say hello and offer your hand
So bring on the romance, I’m ready to dance
Coz I’m in the mood for a sweet lovin’ man
I’ll give you a signal may I be so bold
My heart is pounding, my feet are cold
Wanna light up but I gotta keep as cool as I can
I’m in the mood for a sweet, a Sweet Lovin’ Man

a song of ethereal love that transcends time

Carried away by a sweet fantasy
of lovers who meet in a midsummer dream
flesh will connect in ecstasy
when passion runs high ‘neath a clear Blue Ridge Sky
Carried away by this déjà vu
What fate can await the heart of a fool
Who believes star crossed love reaches ‘cross time
When passion runs high ‘neath a clear Blue Ridge Sky
Carried away on a wave of desire
It’s energy flowing a love so transforming and high
to a clear Blue Ridge sky
Carried away by a song, troubador
Sing bring the music a key to the door
to open a heart pulsing and wide
when passion runs high ‘neath a clear Blue Ridge sky

the devil's just the dark side of you

When you flirt with the devil
a heartache waits for you
when you flirt with the devil
there’s trouble gonna brew
and if you flirt with the devil
ya may face a consequence or two
They say those pearly gates, babe
One day will open wide
And if you flirt with the devil
You may not get inside
Oh don’t you flirt with the devil
Coz there ain’t nowhere to run and hide
The temptation, sweet sensation
Leads the way to complication
When you flirt with the devil, there’s trouble gonna brew
So don’t you flirt with the devil
or you’ll face a consequence or two
Don’t wanna broken hearted lover who doesn’t understand
Don’t want no jealous green-eyed liar taking full command
Oh if you flirt with the devil, you’re playing right into his hand
The temptation, sweet sensation
Leads the way to complication
When you flirt with the devil, there’s trouble gonna brew
Oh don’t you flirt with the devil or there’ll be a consequence or two
I said don’t flirt with the devil, or there’ll be a consequence or two

are the end times upon us? ...

We live in the days of the information age
Satellites, megabytes, the whole world is a stage
Some say that it’s a sign that we’ve reached the end of time
That the signs are clear, the countdown’s here
Millennial Thing
See what the future will bring
The countdown’s happening
Millennial Thing
People scoff and say it’s a myth, there is no way
The world won’t end it’s all pretend, life goes on day to day
Other’s say that they’re aware of a feeling in the air
That the sign’s are clear, the countdown’s here
Millennial Thing
See what the future will bring
The countdown’s happening
A Millennial Thing
The countdown’s here, can the end be near?
What if it’s all true?
What’s in store for your?
People in a haze, little more than slaves
To an old routine a faded dream, illusion of old ways
When they hear the prohpets’ cry, they look up to the sky
For a reckoning, awakening
Millennial Thing
See what the future will bring
The countdown’s happening
A Millennial Thing

celebrate creation joyfully with the Devas (nature spirits)

Oh the Earth, oh the Earth she makes me sing
Oh the Earth, oh the Earth she makes me sing
Shores and mountains and crystal fountains
Plants, flowers and trees
Water flowing , her rich soil growing
The life her nourishment brings
Oh the Earth she makes me sing
Oh the Sky, oh the Sky he makes me dream
Oh the Sky, oh the Sky he makes me dream
Bright sun glowing the winds are blowing
The clouds go floating by
Thunder storming a new day dawning
The stars beckon on high
Oh the Sky he makes me dream

a song about life's seasons

All alone in darkness I wander
Here my name on the chill of the wind
Winter snow your blanket will cover
Sleeping seeds awaiting the spring
And the winter will bring a song my heart can sing
Like a Sweet Concerto
I look to the promise of new life unfolding
Waters rise I’m crossing the deep
Summer skies I long to behold you
With a glimpse of the harvest to reap
And the summer will bring a song my heart can sing
Like a Sweet Concerto
Souls conceived in the marvel of heaven
Born to grieve in the sorrows of man
Lift my cup in joyful abandon
Lay me down ‘neath the ground where I stand
And sing a Sweet Concerto
Look and see the storm clouds are parting
Golden sun your brilliance behold
Warm the Earth and green shoots are sprouting
Warm my heart a journey unfolds
And the sunlight will bring a song my heart can sing
Like a Sweet Concerto

the joy of committed love

My lover makes me want to sing
He makes my spirit want to fly across the sky
His love is everything
That I could want to love a life that’s full of wonder and
This love is true
Will last forever through the ups and downs the bad and good
This love is true
mmmmmm
I feel this love so deep inside
It fills my heart with so much joy that I could cry
It makes my spirit free
Makes me complete to be the person who I want to be
This love is true
Will last forever through the ups and downs the bad and good
This love is true
mmmmmm
We walked through fire we both rode on the storm
Both ran away from the very thing that kept us warm
Somehow we found a way back to the place we wanna be
Side by side in each other’s care so faithfully
Together we will grow
Our vision strong on this path of life we walk along
Secure in what we know each day
With crystal clarity that love will always find a way
This love is true
Will last forever through the ups and downs the bad and good
This love is true
mmmmmm

a song of self-realization

It’s six o’clock, time to rise
She wipes the groggy sleep out of her eyes
Half-past the hour, she’s out the door
Rush hour starts just like the day before
She gets to work, starts the routine
Greetings, meetings, corporation scene
The day flies by, she’s out at five
Traffic jams she’s stuck there where she drives
She’s gotta save herself from the thing she’s doin’
Save herself from her own life
Save herself find the dream she was pursuing
Save herself and get it right, she’s gotta get it right
The trade-off’s clear, she justifies
Gotta work or else be poor and die
There’s bills to pay, there’s things to buy
The trap she’s made perpetuates the lie
She’s gotta save herself from the thing she’s doing
Save herself from her own life
She’s gotta save herself find the dream she was purusing
Save herself and get it right, she’s gotta get it right
There’s a monster in the closet she can’t see when she’s awake
It comes out when she is sleeping in her dreams
And it wakes her in the darkness and she lies there feeling helpless
Wondering where her life is going, what it means
What can it mean?
Her life flies by, destiny calls
She feels trapped inside her prison walls
And so she asks what freedom means?
The answer isn’t money, so it seems
She’s gotta save herself, from the thing she’s doing
Save herself from her own life
Save herself find the dream she was pursuing
Save herself and get it right
She’s gotta get it right

thoughts create your reality

If thoughts are prayers take a look at what’s on your mind
Don’t be caught unaware
What you’re thinking about is what you will find
If you’re feelin’ down
Take your thoughts turn ‘em around
Think of a better day
And if those thoughts are prayers it’ll work out okay
If prayers are thoughts and if thoughts are prayers
Are you thinking of love, are you someone who cares
You’ve got the power, baby, you got control
Of the thoughts on your mind, the fate of your soul
If thoughts are prayers
Are you thinking of peace, or thinking despair
What information are you feeding your brain
Are you programming love, are you programming pain
If prayers are thoughts and if thoughts are prayers
Are you thinking of love, are you someone who cares
You’ve got the power, baby, you got control
Of the thoughts on your mind, the fate of your soul

a lullaby that sings praises of tropical beauty

Caribbean sunrise shine down on me
Majestic island rise out of the sea
Caress me gently Caribbean breeze
Rock me in your cradle Caribbean Sea
Your beauty around me bold and serene
Golden sun surround me a tropical dream
Pink shelled sandy beaches meet the swaying palm trees
Rainbow colored fishes dance in the coral reef
Now I say hello Caribbean and greet your balmy shore
From a place that’s oh so far away
My home that’s way up north
When the winter wind comes calling I close my eyes and dream
of rocking in your cradle, Caribbean Sea
When the winter sky is threatening cold and dreary dark
A Caribbean breeze is beckoning, calling to my heart
Atop a rainforest mountain
Awaits a mystery
of an emerald flashing sunset on a crystal sea
Full moon arises in a lavendar sky
Where the bright diamond stars light Caribbean nights
Now I say farewell Caribbean and leave your balmy shore
For a place that’s oh so faraway, my home that’s way up north
When the winter wind comes calling I close my eyes and dream
Of rocking in your cradle, Caribbean Sea
