Here are links of reviews of my music from around the Philadelphia area and also Roanoke, Virginia. I’m a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, based artist. For five years I lived in rural southwestern Virginia in the Blue Ridge Mountains, where I had the privilege of devoting most of my time to songwriting and spiritual exploration. I lived near the small southern city of Roanoke, where I was welcome with open arms by the region's music community. (Southerner's ARE generally friendlier than Yanks). The influence of southern rock I was exposed to while living there can be heard in some of my songs, particularly "Sweet Lovin Man," "Love is True, " and "If Thoughts are Prayers." The underlying "spiritual" theme of my lyrics was largely influenced by my association with the phenomenal metaphysical and new thought community of the region. I studied theories of our Galactic origins, and also the Mayan Calendar through Highflowing, an artist community based in Floyd, Virginia. The theme of human evolution is found in "Go Baby Go" and theories presented in the Mayan Calendar found in the song "Millennial Thing." I also explored Earth-based spirituality (Native American, Celtic) reflected in my songs, Dance of the Devas, Clear Blue Ridge Sky, Caribbean Sea, and Sweet Concerto. Songs of awakening, self-actualization found in my songs Renegade Spirit and Save Herself. I'm back in the "big" city now.
